MOVIE POSTER LIGHT BOX DIY (PART 2 - OUTSIDE FRAME)

GEEK this look with the following materials:
- 27" X 40" wood frame (Overall outside dimension: 30.5" X 43.5")
- Acrylic sheet from 27" X 40" four-piece rail frame and frosted white window film (or 27" X 40" frosted white acrylic plexiglass sheet)
- 1 X 2 poplar wood (8 feet long - two quantity)
- Steel "L" brackets
- Screws
- Miter saw
- Drill, drill bit
- Wood glue
- Tape measure
- Sandpaper
- Black paint
- Double-sided movie poster

DIY (Do It Yourself) by following these steps:
- Measure and cut two quantity vertical wood pieces (43.5" long) using 45 degree cut on miter saw 
- Measure and cut two quantity horizontal wood prices (30.5" long) using 45 degree cut on miter saw
- Connect these four pieces using steel "L" brackets, screws and glue at the corners to create "outside frame"
- Drill a hole on the bottom piece of "outside frame" for the rope light power cord
- Sand and paint "outside frame", let dry
- Connect newly created "outside frame" onto backside of 27" X 40" wood frame using steel "L" brackets, screws, and glue
- Insert double-sided movie poster into wood frame
- Cover back of movie poster with 27" X 40" frosted white acrylic sheet
- Hang "outside frame" onto the "inside frame" created last week
- Turn on the rope light

BAM!  Back Lit Movie Poster!

There's two options in regards to the white frosted acrylic sheet (used as a diffuser). The option of getting an acrylic sheet that's already frosted white is very expensive. The cheaper option would be to buy those cheap four rail poster frame, take out the acrylic sheet, and then cover it with some white frosted window film. This frosted sheet is important to diffuse the light source.
