IRON MAN STATUE DISPLAY BASE DIY TUTORIAL

More photos and DIY details after the Jump!

GEEK this look with the following materials:
- 2" X 4" framing wood
- 0.50" thick 24" X 24" MDF wood
- 0.75" thick particle wood
- Screws, countersink, drill, screwdriver
- Miter saw and Table saw
- Tape measure and pencil
- Wood glue
- Plastic feet and hammer
- Any statue
- Acrylic cover (refer to previous blog entries)

DIY (Do It Yourself) by following these steps:
- Make frame using the 2" X 4" wood
- Make the "sides" of the base by cutting MDF wood using table saw and miter saw
- Glue and screw the four "sides" onto the frame
- Attach some legs onto bottom of the frame
- Add the plastic feet to the legs using hammer
- Place particle wood platform on top of frame
- Place statue and acrylic cover on top of platform

BAM! Display Base!

Here's another easy way to make a display stand. All the materials for the wood base was less than $10 US dollars! Since the 2" X 4" framing wood are used to build houses, it's strong enough to hold any statue weight.
