IRON MAN STATUE DISPLAY BASE DIY TUTORIAL (PART 2 - LED LIGHTS)

GEEK this look with the following materials:
- LED light strip (multiple colors and effects)
- Frosted white acrylic sheet
- Display base from last weeks DIY
- Table saw
- Clear acrylic cover from previous blog entry
- And statue

DIY (Do It Yourself) by following these steps:
- Cut groves in the 2" x 4" wood frame edges using table saw
- Install LED light strip in the groves using the provided adhesive tape
- Place frosted white acrylic sheet over the wood frame / LED lights 
- Place statue and clear acrylic cover on the base

BAM! LED edge lighting!

This is part 2 of this DIY project, where lighting is added. This produces a very cool lighting effect for the clear acrylic cover. All the acrylic edges actually turn the color of the LED light! I chose to display in red, but any color can be chosen (blue, purple, green, white, etc.). Just make sure to dim the house lights, sit back and enjoy.
