GEEK this look with the following materials:
- 0.75" thick plywood for sides (2 Qty: 15" W x 64" L)
- 0.75" thick plywood for top/bottom (2 Qty: 15.50" W x 32" L)
- Wall Control steel pegboard (4 Qty: 16"W x 32" L)
- Wood screws and washers
- Tools (drill, screwdriver, countersink, optional table saw)
- Pegboard hooks (Plier holder hooks for FX lightsaber)
- Bunch of Star Wars lightsabers
DIY (Do It Yourself) by following these steps:
- Cut plywood down to size using table saw (or have wood cut in store)
- Assemble the cabinet (top/bottom/sides) using wood screws
- Attach the steel pegboard to back of cabinet using screws and washers
- Insert pegboard hooks
- Add lightsabers
BAM! Display cabinet for Lightsabers!
In honor of The Last Jedi Movie (Out Today)! I don't know why I didn't think of this before ... using a pegboard is probably the most versatile way of displaying your collection. You can even skip the cabinet part and just hang the pegboards on a wall, but I plan to add doors to conceal / protect the collection better. The "Plier Holder" hooks are perfect to hold the FX Electronic lightsabers ... the hilt can rest on the bottom hook, while the blade can be inserted into the top hook. Configuration is also so easy with pegboards! More photos of the lightsaber collection/configuration will be posted in next weeks blog entry. Stay tune!
