GEEK this look with the following materials:
- 0.125" thick acrylic sheet (11" x 11")
- Kotobukiya Flash statue
- Pedestal stand from last week's blog entry
DIY (Do It Yourself) by following these steps:
- Remove Flash stature from it's packaging
- Store packaging into the pedestal stand
- Remove protective sheet for only one side of acrylic sheet
- Place exposed side of acrylic sheet face up onto pedestal stand
- Place statue on top of acrylic sheet
BAM! Acrylic platform!
The acrylic sheet can either by translucent white or the cheaper option would be to get a clear one (but leave the white protective backing on one side). I was able to get the acrylic sheet for $1 US Dollar in the scrap bin of a Tap Plastics Store. Next week's blog entry will show the value of having an acrylic platform (hint: you will be enlighten).
