LEGO STAR WARS DISPLAY WALL (PART 1 - ADDING BLACK BACKGROUND)

More Photos and DIY details after the Jump!

GEEK this look with the following materials:
- Ikea Vittsjo black-brown glass shelving unit (68 7/8” High, 20 1/8” Wide, 14 1/8” Deep
- 16” x 20” black foam core (from Michaels)
- Foam mounting tape (from Dollar Tree)
- Xacto knife
- Lego Star Wars set

DIY (Do It Yourself) by following these steps:
- Trim foam core to correct size with Xacto knife (if necessary)
- Place foam mounting tape on edges of black foam core
- Stick foam core onto back of shelving unit
- Continue for all four shelf openings
- Add Lego Star Wars items

BAM!  Lego Star Wars Display!

This is part 1 of my giant Lego Star Wars display wall. The first step is to add a black background, since outer space is black. The background also serves to block out dust from the back of the unit. This DIY project will continue with part 2 next time … so stay tune.
